The most perfect news for ‘throwback Thursday’ is that it has just been that announced that there is a brand new 4K Restoration of Mike Nichols classic movie ‘THE GRADUATE’. The shock is that has been produced to mark the 50th Anniversary of the movie that won Nichols a Best Director Oscar.
This new ‘version’ will screen nationwide on April 23 and 26 as part of TCM and Fathom Events’ monthly “TCM Big Screen Classics” series, and so shouldn’t be missed. We are torn between saying that this is one of queerguru’s favorite films of all time, or simply pretending that we are far too young to have caught Anne Bancroft trying to seduce a petrified Dustin Hoffman the first time around.
