Ballet Boyz are heading back to London

By the time you read this the incomparable all-male Ballet Boyz troupe will literally be jetting back to their London base after their amazing critically-acclaimed sold-out Tour of Florida.  The queerguru team counts themselves very lucky as we saw their performance last Friday night at the South Miami Dade Cultural Center.  It was sheer bliss.

They performed two works starting with SERPENT by LIAM SCARLETT (Royal Ballet Artist in Residence) which is set to the haunting music of MAX RICHTER’S MEMORYHOUSE. The second piece, FALLEN, is choreographed by RUSSELL MALIPHANT and set to a powerful score by French film composer ARMAND AMAR.  Fallen won the award for Best Modern Choreography at the 2013 NATIONAL DANCE AWARDS and both pieces feature lighting from Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist MICHAEL HULLS.

If you missed their Tour then below are clips they sent us to share with you, and you can also buy a DVD of both these ballets in full at  https://www.balletboyz.com/shop

P.S. If after watching these videos and you feel that you would like to be a Ballet Boyz too, then you should know that they are actually holding auditions in London on 26th February 2018.  They are looking for exceptional male dancers who demonstrate excellent technique and experience in contemporary, classical, partnering and contact improvisation. Evidently just looking hot like they all do, is simply not going to cut it.
