queerguru is a tad skeptical about a new list of the 30 Best LGBT Movies of all time that BFI Flare released yesterday to mark their own 30th Anniversary as they placed Todd Haynes’s Carol as Number 1. Now as anyone who reads this Blog regularly will know that queerguru has been shouting about this movie months before it was ever released, and have been a fervent supporter/admirer ever since, but even we think to give such an exalted slot to a relative new movie is a little questionable.
Anyway regardless of where its rightful place will be in any list of queer cinema in the future, here is a truly wonderful montage from editor Roberto Bra that we simply cannot stop playing. It is of all those wonderful long lingering glances between Cate Blanchett (Carol ) and Rooney Mara (Therese) that just remind us of how stunning these two actresses were in this magnificent film.
