One of the constant cries we have heard from several of the Drag Queens we get to interview for Queerguru, is that it can sometimes be tough to find a Boy Friend. Evidently the fact that they wear dresses for a living is not always a big turn on for some guys.
However on UK TV this weekend the reality dating game Blind Date usually full of young flirtatious young heterosexuals decided to give three drag queens the chance to find love. They get sat behind a screen and cannot be seen by Luke a rather handsome single guy who gets to ask them three questions before deciding who he wants to take on his blind date
The show is hosted by Paul O’Grady, who was once a very famous drag artist himself called Lily Savage, and the three queens were Shyanne O’Shea, Trampagne, and Anna Phylactic ,
After a few cute answers, and a few playful catty remarks, Luke chose Shyanne, and they get to come back on a future program to say if the =re was any chemistry on their date or …….well, you get the drift.
The response in the UK to this has already been overwhelmingly positive with people tweeting/emailing asking that it become a regular feature of the show, Who, knows if it works, maybe we’ll never hear another complaint again.
