Iin6.org literally takes its name from the estimated number of men who were victims of sexual abuse or assault when they were young. With its support network, it sets out to help survivors live happier and healthier lives. One of 1in6.org founding Board Members David Lisak, a psychologist and photographer, launched the “Bristlecone Project: Portraits of Male Survivors,” that covers just a few hundred of the men as a collaborative awareness initiative, and when the Exhibit came to P Town for the day, he sat down and talked to Roger Walker-Dack all about it.
Olympic Diving Champion Greg Louganis has never stopped making a splash all his life and in recent years it has been as an outstanding LGBT activist and an exemplary HIV awareness advocate for which Equality Florida have given him their highest honor THE VOICE FOR EQUALITY AWARD. We tracked him down to his home in California to talk about this …. and love and life too. He is a disarmingly charming man, but most of all he is an American Hero.
“The Equality Florida Broward gala where Greg will be accepting his Award takes place on Sunday, November 12. Click here for tickets and information.” http://www.eqfl.org/browardgala

Evan Wolfson, the founder and president of Freedom to Marry, a group that worked for same-sex marriage, and who is considered by many to be the father and leader of the LGBT marriage movement, talked to queerguru on the occasion of the digital launch of Freedom To Marry Movie, and we re-visit it now that the documentary is now available on Netflix
As part of P Town’s Summer of Love and Marriage, queerguru gets to talk to the leading gay activist Evan Wolfson known to many simply as ‘the marriage guy’. Wolfson is the founder and president of Freedom to Marry, a group that became a major driving force same-sex marriage in the United States. He is the visionary who started work on this matter of equality almost four decades ago, and now part of the story of how he successfully led the fight, is documented in a new film The Freedom to Marry by Eddie Rosenstein.
On the eve of the documentary’s digital launch on June 6th 2017, Wolfson talked about how the battle for same-sex marriage maybe over in the US, there are still too many countries around the globe where we still need to heed the fight, plus there is also the question of our community joining the struggle to seize our own country back.
The interview via Facebook was filmed by Roger Walker-Dack for “queerguru reports’ on PTV’s Channel 99.
