The last time Dan Hunt the co-director of Little Miss Westie Documentary screened the movie at the OUTshine Film Festival in Miami it won the Jury Award for Best Documentary.
Now Hunt is bringing this story of a Connecticut family where both children are transgender, back to screen at OUTshine’s Fort Lauderdale Edition. Here’s the interview he gave to QUEERGURU about it all

Queerguru talked with DANIEL MONKS the delightful queer Australian writer and star of PULSE his rather wonderful movie, directed by STEVIE CRUZ-MARTIN that was loosely based on Daniel’s life and was about to have its European Premiere at BFI FLARE London’s #LGBTQ Film Festival in 2018.

Daniel Ortiz is a Brooklyn-born queer Artist of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent who is about to participate in ART GAYSEL Miami’s Queerest Art Fair that is making its PROVINCETOWN Debut. He has really been able to hone in on a style of art that truly represents him as a gay Latino. It has not been an easy road of acceptance, but he has managed to actively pursue an art career and has now introduced “Art by Dan” my very first own online shop and brand.
On the eve of the new Fair he talked with QUEERGURU about how he hopes his work will inspire and impact people, especially members of the LGBTQ community
