Married gay couple Samantha Buck & Marie Schlingmann who wrote and directed their first feature film together #SisterAimeeloosely based on the life of SISTER AIMEE McPHERSON were at the Provincetown Film Society & Festival for a screening. They sat down to talk with QUEERGURU before taking off for Frameline where the film screens next

Greg Louganis is an American Hero. This openly gay Olympic Champion Diver is an unrelenting LGBTQ activist and a dedicated advocate of HIV awareness for which Equality Florida have give him their highest honor ‘The Voice for Equality Award’. He is also a disarmingly charming man and when we interviewed him from his home in California via Facetime after congratulating and talking about his work, the conversation also got personal.

The director/writer/actress HANNAH PEARL UTT was at the PTown Film Festival along with her star Judith Light to screen her latest movie BEFORE YOU KNOW IT which was the Festival’s Closing Night Film. Before the screening she sat down with QUEERGURU’s Roger Walker-Dack to spill the beans about the film.

To mark the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall Inn Riots, gay historian/academic and author of Welcome to Fairyland : Queer Miami before Julio Capó Jr. has curated  a new exhibit at HistoryMiami Museum . Queer Miami : A History of LGBTQ Communities traces our community from its roots to the current day.

Queerguru took a trip to the Museum to check out this stunning exhibit during Miami Beach Pride Week and talked to Prof. Capo about what Queer Miami means to us all.

Burn this Letter Please about a whole treasure trove of letters from NY drag queens in the 1950/60’s that have just been discovered.  It shows a wonderful slice of queer history pre-Stonewall that has never been documented in such glorious detail

 

The movie, produced by Craig Olsen & Richard Konigsberg is having a special Drive In Screening at Outfest Virtual Film Fest this weekend + can also be streamed on line
