Over the past few years singer, songwriter and keyboardist Todd Alsup has become one of the most successful headliners performing each summer In PTown, the queer mecca at the tip of Cape Cod. Last season his critically acclaimed one-man show was FREEDOM his tribute to George Michael and now he is back this year with a show based on the songs of one of greatest queer piano men of all time (Sir) ELTON JOHN UNDRESSED. Queerguru joined the sold-out audience of close-knit group of fans affectionately known as “The Todd Squad’ …….with more than a sprinkling of gay ‘bears’ and later we sat down with the very bubbly Todd to talk about his passion for this exceptional Brit musical icons

Todd Hughes talks about his memoir LUNCH WITH LIZABETH

Todd Hughes, one half of queer filmmaking duo EBERSOLE HUGHES (Mansfield 6667, House of Cardin) …..the other half is his husband David Ebersole …. has published his first book: a memoir of the Hollywood star of the 40’s and 50’s LIZABETH SCOTT.

As a young man, Hughes had a major crush on her and eventually wangled an invitation to lunch. A friendship blossomed and Hughes became fixated with the actress and started to appreciate that she never got the same fame and recognition as her peers.

He talked with QUEERGURU about the book and how he went from fan to friend

Queer filmmaker Todd Stephens revisits his hometown of #SanduskyOhio for the 3rd in a series of semi-autobiographical tales.   The first being Edge of Seventeen 1998, followed by Gypsy 83 in 2001. 

Now he and producer Eric Eisenbrey talked to QUEERGURU about their comedy/drama Swan Song and its stunning award-worthy performance by legendary actor Udo Kier as it screens at Provincetown Film Society & Festival
