One of the highlights of the summer season in #PTown each year is the one week residency of the legendary jazz singer Marilyn Maye. She may have passed her 90th Birthday a couple of years ago but she is ageless on the stage of Provincetown Art House Theatre singing her heart out to the sold out (mostly) gay crowds.
Here’s Marilyn singing her Here’s To Life Medley filmed live
Legendary jazz singer MARILYN MAYE is back in Provincetown for her 6th consecutive year with a brand new show at The Art House for 4 nights only. One of her many claims to fame is that she was a guest on The Johnny Carson Tonight Show a record breaking 76 times.
queerguru aka Roger Walker-Dack is aiming to match Mr Carson and this is the second time that Marilyn Maye has sat down to talk to him for P.T.V. about how psyched she is to be back performing again in P Town : her home from home.
NY Drag queen/actor/activist Marti Gould Cummings II is back at the Pilgrim House in #Ptown but this time during the afternoons she is performing her special Kids Show for Family Week. Queerguru sneaked in with the 5 year-olds to see what the fun was all about.
MARTI GOULD CUMMINGS NY drag performer/singer/comedian/activist and star of SHADES : Queens of NYC is back in PTown with her pianist husband BROOK ALLEN for THREE NIGHTS ONLY with her new show LIFE ON THE Z LIST playing at the Crown & Anchor.
Queerguru grabbed a few minutes with our favorite dragactivist to see what’s up in her world, throw some shade ….. and talk about the Show too.
The interview with Roger Walker-Dack was filmed by Dan Desjardinsin Miss Gould Cummings’ Dressing Room.
P.S.Queerguru would love you to bits if you did us one tiny favor. Despite the fact that we have had almost 295K hits on YouTube (yeah!) they will not give us a single cent of the advertising money that they make off us until we have more subscribers. Won’t cost you a dime, but it will help support our site. Just simply click on the link below. Thank you very much!
When Grammy Award Winner singer/songwriter Matt Alber was in P.Town again to perform at The Crown & Anchor during Bear Week to a community that consider him something of an iconic performer, he stopped by to talk to Roger Walker-Dackfor ‘queerguru reports’ on PTV’s Channel 99.
Although the conversation started off about his music, it soon moved on to Matt’s latest passion : a new documentary TV series called Room To Grow which advocates for LGBTQ youth. The 8 part series that he created with filmmaker Jon Garcia is due to released free on the Web this December. More information about the project can be found at moreroomtogrow.org .
The interview was filmed by Hussein Wentz in the home he shares with his husband Andy Wentz.
