There are some events here in PTown that QUEERGURU has kind of avoided for the past 18 years that we have spent our summers up here . Until now that is. Here at the start of the season is the annual Single Womens Weekend which is a chance for lovelorn lesbians to make a lifetime connection or a holiday hookup. Being neither single or a woman we thought we should at least steer clear of some of the activities such as Speed Dating or the Flirty Dance Party, and maybe test the water gingerly attending an event that has two elements we do love: Books & Booze.
So on a rainy Saturday afternoon, we found ourselves as one of our favorite haunts the Harbor Lounge for a book reading and mixology event called Clink. Three lesbian authors Randi Triant, Kim Baker and Lucy J Madison read excerpts from their new novels and then Julez Weinberg the writer of a Mixology Book demonstrated some of her skills.
Award-winning powerful music duo Branden & James are BACK in PTown to perform their LADY GAGA SONGBOOK SHOW ‘under the stars’ at Pilgrim House from Aug 11th.
Meanwhile this disarmingly charming married couple stopped by the QUEERGURU Garden to talk about the Show and play some of the tracks from their fab brand new album CHASING DREAMS

Queerguru jumped at the chance of interviewing Brian Calhoon when he told us he had the biggest ‘wood’ in #PTown‘. Little did we know he was talking about his 8’ marimba which to the uninitiated (!) is like a giant xylophone on which to make it even more unique he plays and sings Sondheim, showtunes and even Rufus Wainwright
