The Tony Winner + 6 time Tony Nominee actress Linda Lavin is in town. P Town that is, and singing her heart out for just two nights only at the Paramount @ The Crown & Anchor. The First Night crowd couldn’t get enough of her dulcet tones in this jazz-infused program that Ms. Lavin said was a tribute to all th great women who had ever inspired her. She is very funny too, and if there is one regret it is that we simply didn’t get enough of her hilarious and touching anecdotes.
Ms Lavin’s musical director is the legendary Billy Stritch, and if she seems a tad too familiar on stage with her drummer, it is because he is Steve Bakunas her husband. Their last performance of what is billed as her ‘Second Farewell Concert’ is this Sunday 27th August.
