This is no shallow chauvinistic claim in this case but just the simply reality that no matter how skimpy the costumes Catherine Zeta Jones and her fellow dancers wore in Cell Block Tango in the movie Chicago (which won Zeta Jones an Oscar), there is simply no comparison with their performance than with this all-male version.
From the Broadway Backwards Show 2015 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Chicago’s “six merry murderesses” sexy superb and incomparable version featured Joshua Buscher-West, Marty Lawson, Alfie Parker Jr., Waldemar Quinones-Villanueva, Alex Ringler and Ryan Steele. It just sizzles.
