These stunning images from a series called Morning Ritual by New York photographer Kenneth Gruenholtz are exactly how we imagine ourselves each day until that is we wake up and smell the roses. Or worse still, actually get a glimpse of our real selves in the mirror.
Gruenholtz says the series is about ‘capturing the moments from waking up to walking out of the door, that most people will never get to see. As I do mostly environmental portraiture, each photograph was taking in the model’s own apartment’.
