Noel Alejandro’s Call Me A Ghost : NSFW.

Noel Alejandro is part of a new exciting breed of filmmaker/pornographers who relish at the whole notion of combining sex with art.  This openly gay Spanish artist who works in both Barcelona and Brussels, has just made his first drama-psychological erotic film Call Me A Ghost.

It is a film about sadness …… something that Alejandro often dwells on … and in this instance, his protagonist is right at the apex of a major crisis that he actually resists leaving his house at all.  In his desolation he is visited by a supernatural presence, and with nothing to lose, he welcomes the ghost, maybe hoping to sense contact with someone else.

Like all his other work Alejandro continues to push the boundaries in this daring exploration of the role of sex, pleasure and intimacy in the life of a man whose hope is falling short. This explicitly sexual short film is, as always, exquisitely beautiful and once again, erases the line between art and porn.
