Last week live on Irish TV two men danced together, and surprise surprise much to the disappointment of all the homophobic haters, the world did not end. From where we are sitting its still inconceivable that we as an LGBT community can marry each other, become parents, create our own legally binding families in so many countries dotted around the world BUT we are still expected never ever to touch each other in public.
We loved this particular episode of Irish TV’s Dancing With The Stars when out gay TV Presenter Brian Dowling, chose Kai Widdrington as his partner and whirled him around the floor doing a quickstep. It’s just very odd/sad that in 2020 this is still considered a ‘groundbreaking’ moment in TV history when it should be just the norm
