Charismatic out-gay actor Ben Baur who in 2015 made Out’s 100 List and is best known for his starring role in the rather raunchy LGBT web series Hunting Season, has written himself a plum part in Something New. This rather cute 15 minute short directed by T J Marchbank has Baur playing love sick Jonah who is struggling to get over the fact that the love of his life Scott (Doug Locke) dumped him for someone else.
Jonah consoles himself with the fact that he has a really hot regular fuckbuddy Adam (the irrepresible Johnny Sibilly) courtesy of Grindr, but what he really wants is a replacement boyfriend, and naturally he looks in all the wrong places trying to find one.
There is no surprises in how this one turns out but Baur and Sibilly make their characters extremely likable so we do get engaged enough to see if this will end as a happy ever after story
