Just take a moment out to today to think of TeeTee Dangerfield. You would have not heard of her until now but 32 year old TeeTee was fatally shot in College Park, Georgia, on Monday morning for just being herself. She was the 16th transgender person of color to be killed in 2017.
To the Police, TeeTee is just another victim in a murder, which if history repeats itself, will be another crime that they will never solve. To our community however TeeTee is another ‘sister’ that we should never ever have lost, and in her memory, and all those that went before her, we should never give up demanding not just equal rights for the transgender community, but a safe and secure environment for which they can live their own lives
