Transgender Day of Remembrance

tdor-banner

November 20th is the International Transgender Day of Remembrance when we need to take a few minutes out to remember all the lives of our brothers and sisters who died for no other reason than just wanting to be true to themselves.

In the first 11 months of 2016, the murders of 26 transgender people In the U.S. have been reported, making it the deadliest year on record for trans people. The Advocate Magazine chillingly puts names and faces in their report so that these poor souls are not just remembered as statistics.

We need to end transphobia now more than ever.
