Your chance to design (an 18th Century) wig ….

The V & A (named after Queen Victoria  + Prince Albert)  is the favorite museum of every Londoner.  Forget the oh-so-serious British Museum  or the sensible Science Museum etc etc.  The V + A is where we go to indulge in culture that we can both relate too and enjoy.

This is where we thrilled to see major retrospectives of the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen,  And although those exhibits are well gone, there still remains an extensive collection of these designers work in their exceptional wonderful Fashion & Costume section.

The V & A has just opened its doors again but for those of us deprived of physically visiting it you can check out so much of its content online.  We were doing  just that when we came across an invitation too good to refuse

n the late 18th century, way before Queerguru’s time, women’s hair tyles went crazy! It wasn’t uncommon to see women sporting huge, towering creations coloured with scented powder and decorated with flowers, ribbons or even ships in full sail.  It gave rise to the most  creative imaginations, and now if you feel so inclined you could make your own design to se if you are as good

The V & A have launched this fab wee app. to help you do just this.

Just follow these simple steps :

Click here to Launch Design a Wig

2. Drag out from the hair to start the wig
