30 Years of Can-Queer

 

This year is the 30th Anniversary of ‘Inside Out’ Canada’s largest LGBTQ film festival which would normally be in full swing in Toronto  right now, but this year’s full festival was postponed  until October 1-11, 2020.  Instead they have curated three fabulous short film programs  that aim to help develop the next generation of artists and create new exciting and vital work for our next 30 years.

So beginning Monday, May 25th and going to June 30th, a curated selection of short films will be available to screen exclusively on Inside Out’s website. There are  three separate compilations : Best Of The Fest ; Local Heroes ; and 30 Years of Can-Queer.

The photo above is from one our favorite films THE MAN THAT GOT AWAYdirected by Trevor Anderson (Canada 2012). It’s a  musical documentary that tells the true life story of Trevor’s great-uncle Jimmy in six original songs.  We’ve included the film below.
