FAG – Short film about homophobia

 



French queer filmmaker Olivier Lallart’s 35 min film is one of the most powerful dramas which homophobia we have seen for a long time  

Shot in 2019 in the Oise, the film starts from a love story between two young boys to describe the mechanism of homophobia fueled by rumor.

After playing the Film Festival circuit, Lallart posted it is on YouTube where it has very impressively had more than two million views in a relatively short time.

Olivier Lallart’s work deliberately avoids both voyeurism and violence and always has a positive angle to it.  He says “It’s important for young people today to see films or series where there are LGBT characters because when you grow up without these benchmarks it is what develops preconceived ideas and stereotypes against which we have to fight ”
