Provincetown has long been home to a colony of very successful artists but not all of them now are from the ‘old school’. James Frederick is part of new breed of creatives in town whose work crosses boundaries with his abstract landscapes on one hand and his hit series of gay mini-comic books on the other one. Last time we interviewed him via Facebook we were inundated with fan mail …… and some of it was even about his art. So we visited him in his studio to see what he’s working on now.
Last summer Ptown welcomed two new nautical women to our shores. The Captain’s Daughters Tea Room is a delightful spot not just for tea aficionados but their Boutique facing the Ocean hosts eclectic art exhibits and has a tempting array of carefully curated must-have accoutrements.
Queerguru spent time with Meghan OConnor & Dani Niedzielski to find out why the came ashore here, and also to throw some delicious shade.
The interview with Roger Walker-Dack was filmed by Dan Desjardins
P.S.Queerguru would love you to bits if you did us one tiny favor. Despite the fact that we have had almost 250K hits on YouTube (yeah!) they will not give us a single cent of the advertising money that they make off us until we have more subscribers. Won’t cost you a dime, but it will help support our site. Just simply click on the link below. Thank you very much!
The highly acclaimed The Illustrious Blacks have just arrived for their #PTown debut of their electrifying live show Hyperbolic fresh from its 3 month run at Joe’s Pub at The Public, this disarmingly charming married couple talked to Queerguru about how excited they are to be performing at the Afterglow Festival

Tracy Kachtick-Anders has been spreading joy in #Ptown she arrived and this summer she actually has a base for THE JOY PROJECT. It’s not difficult to spot her store as it is the only one in Commercial Street that has baby chicks in the window. We just had to find out more.
