As part of the Tate Britain’s recent exhibition Queer British Art 1861-1967, Channel 4 commissioned six new films; six portraits of queer individuals by six queer filmmakers. Matt Lambert’s subject was the iconic avant-garde cabaret performer David Hoyle, the Divine David himself, in his custom Rick Owens drag, talking about his first gay club with God watching him.
