Harry Style is starring in My Policeman : a queer love story set in 1950’s England

Now being filmed in England with a star-studded cast is the adaption of a fascinating queer novel by Bethan Roberts.

My Policeman is set in the 1950s in Brighton, England, where schoolteacher Marion first catches sight of Tom and becomes instantly smitten with the handsome policeman. Then Tom meets Patrick, a museum curator who opens his eyes to a glamorous, sophisticated new world. Though Tom is drawn to Patrick, it is safer for him, in that day and age, to marry Marion. Thus, the two lovers must share him, until one of them breaks and all three lives are forever changed

The sexually ambiguous Harry Styles just voted  GQs Most Stylish Man of the Year is to play Tom and he is taking his role very seriously going to great lengths to get into character – by dyeing his curly brown hair blonde.  Golden Globe Winning Actress Emma Corrin (The Crown) will play Tom’s wife Marion.  She has recently been all over the. news after talking about her sexuality. The role of Patrick the lover will be played by David Dawson.

Older versions of Tom and Patrick will be played respectively by Linus Roache (who played gay in the title role in Priest) and Rupert Everett (The Happy Prince).

The out gay crew includes Michael Grandage (Genius) directing from a script by Oscar Nominee Ron Nyswaner (Philadelphia), and the film is being produced by the prolific Greg Berlanti (Love Simon etc etc ) and his husband Robbie Rogers.
