The Brits are a diverse nation that seem to relish in extremes when it suits them. Like in television. They are responsible for bringing us excellence such as Downtown Abbey, The Crown etc. but at the same time also for real crass such as The Apprentice. Need we say more.
Every time we think their tv producers have run out of really bad ideas, they shock us by showing us new depths they can sink to. This latest example may get good ratings back in the UK but we know how fakely prudish American networks can be when it comes to naked flesh (!) so this is one idea that we may never see in the US.
That is until now. Here at Queerguru we are giving you a glimpse of “Naked, Alone and Racing to Get Home”. In this Reality Show, two sets of strangers come together and are relieved of all their worldly possessions, stripped naked and told to get home from the other side of the Pennines (a rural area in the North of England ). They get to keep only their socks and hiking boots for the 50km feat.
If they are the first to get home they will win £5,000 for a charity of their choice.
The best review we have read of the first edition of the program says it all ” Naked, Alone and Racing To Get Home is a genuine British programme that is on right now and I wanna die.”
