Clement Hil Goldberg
is a Queer/Trans Multidisciplinary Artist, Writer, Director, and Animator. Their satirical yet hopeful projects center collective grief rooted in the climate crisis, cultural erasure, displacement, and end-stage capitalism. Their work has been exhibited at REDCAT Theatre, VORTEX Rep, Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive and the Worth Ryder Art Gallery, Institute of Contemporary Art at U Penn, Anthology Film Archives, Artists Television Access all in San Francisco; and over 50 international film and arts festivals.

Let Me Let You Go is a groundbreaking Sci-Fi Comedy Feature about artists that become cross-species with fungus in order to survive!
Its the story of MIGUEL MÉNDEZ, 35, mixed race, trans man, with magnetic eyes and a delicate mustache, who takes a large handful of psilocybin mushrooms from an overstuffed Ziploc. He places them in a hanky and shoves it in his pocket.
He is sick of his gig for TripSit app and steals mushrooms from a Silicon Valley client. Meanwhile, another artist, Cary, arrives at their favorite queer bar when a black van abducts them from the sidewalk. Miguel is detained soon after. The pair meet in a holding cell where Miguel is high on shrooms and Cary is high on codependency. A nefarious biotech billionaire tells them the world as they know it is over. An inoculation device containing a mysterious serum is offered to the artists as a way to survive imminent societal and ecological collapse, but only if they are willing to live cross-species with fungus. Miguel agrees! Cary follows his lead despite better judgment. They are relocated to a remote artist colony. Cary wants to go back but there is no going back. The serum has dramatic side effects! Additional artists arrive. Hijinks ensue! Let Me Let You Go is a comedy about grief, humor, and hope as everything falls apart!
Let Me Let You Go was a participant in the Stowe Narrative Lab 2021 and placed as a Quarter-Finalist (top 10%) in the Page International Screenwriting Awards 2021. (And it is in the final round for something super cool – wish us luck!)
