Poor Liza. Her star-studded 75th Birthday Celebration ended up being quite the snooze fest. With a combination of her long-retired backup dancers from shows over 40 years ago and a roster of new Broadway Talent who had to confess they had never actually met her, it was hardly the glittery event we were promised. All that was lacking was a visit from beyond the grave from David Gest to finish us all off. Here’s what we would have included. Instead of having the fabulous Mario Cantone talk about ‘doing’ Liza, they should have shown him in action.

And maybe cut out a few of the veteran talking heads: I mean we do love you Joel Grey BUT we couldn’t understand half of your rambling story. It would have been much better to lighten the whole event with this campy Liza parody that Seth Sykes shot in the gay paradise of Puerto Vallarta
