Queer Fashion Resolutions for 2020

December is not only the time when you listen to All I Want for Xmas Is You at least 20 times a day, it is also the time when you talk about your New Year’s resolutions knowing perfectly you are not going to complete half of them (if you are, then great for you!). But if you are queer, then the stakes for your fashion resolutions are quite high, as fashion is one of the most important segments of today’s society, and in these circles, you really do need to be regarded as a fashion icon, or just be a rather fashionable person. But what are the things that you should have in mind for fashion in 2020? Is something different? Are there some things that you haven’t been aware of? Take a look:

Do not be afraid to experiment

If experimenting was your fear in 2019, then this is definitely what you should change for the next year. Why? Because there are no rules anymore, and you can wear whatever you want without any problems, just like Jonathan Van Ness from “Queer Eye”. This might be a tricky subject for queer people, mostly because a big portion is scared of wearing stilettos in the streets even if they feel like it. You know what? Go for it! This is the year when you should change your attitude, and if you have any concerns and insecurities, try to work past them. As far as the stilettos are concerned, if you are a beginner, then you might want to start with thick heels first, as they give more support to your body, and can make your outfit amazing.

Accessorize like crazy

Next up, let’s talk accessories. It doesn’t matter how queer you are and what kind of fashion you follow, accessories are for everyone. There are plenty of guys out there that accessorize their outfits with necklaces, bracelets, rings and watches, so what you can do is also feel the freedom to combine whatever you want. There are plenty of places where you can shop your accessories, and plenty of styles to browse and find, but if you want to save money, it would be a good idea to do that online. There are also great websites such as the Moon Magic website, for example, that will give you a plethora of options to choose from from the comfort of your own home and have the goods delivered to your doorstep. You will definitely find pieces that you like and that you will match to the rest of your outfit.

Opt for a size up

Queer guys love to wear women’s clothes, if we can call them that since now everyone’s free to wear them. However, men tend to be a bit stronger and have a different constitution than girls. If you want to come off as petite and tiny, the best trick to have in mind is to always opt for clothes one size larger than your own. Not only will you look tinier, but you can also do different things with that particular item. If you buy an oversized tee, for example, you can either opt to turn it into an amazing crop top, you can tie it at the side, or have it drape down and give it a feminine twist. It is definitely something that you have to consider.

High-waisted pants for longer legs

Long legs will probably be the “it” thing in 2020 (in some cases, they already are), so one thing that you might want to do is make your legs look longer. Apart from different angles to take a photo from so that your legs come off as longer, you can turn to the almighty high-waisted pants. These are incredibly versatile and can be matched with practically anything, and this is why they are a gay boy’s best friend. Opt for ones that are a bit of a loose fit, as the ones that are skinny and high-waisted might look a bit odd on you (you have to be incredibly curvy for this to look good on you).

Sexy underwear

Talking about underwear is not a taboo anymore, as we are approaching 2020 when nothing should be considered a taboo topic. So, having sexy and comfortable underwear is a must always, not only in the following year, and here’s why. First of all, comfortable underwear is always a must as your comfort should be a priority. But on those days when you expect a bit of action, you should have your favorite pair of sexy underwear, or be a bit bolder and opt for a jockstrap. Apart from trying to be flirty with your underwear, wearing underwear that looks sexy can give you that boost of self-confidence that you might need.

Apart from these five, there are also other things that you can do in order to be a fashion diva in 2020, but you will have to either find out about it by yourself or wait for another article.
