This is a behind the scenes look at the highly anticipated ROCKETMAN movie that tells the story of ELTON JOHN’S breakthrough years with a respect that was never accorded to Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. The story shows this larger-than-life story of how a shy young Reginald Dwight transformed into one of our generation’s most successful music stars ever.
The movie is centred on an electrifying performance from Taron Egerton as John, and who proves again that he is not only an extremely talented actor, but rather a mean singer too . ROCKETMAN also stars Jamie Bell as Elton’s longtime lyricist and writing partner Bernie Taupin, Richard Madden as Elton’s first manager, John Reid, and Bryce Dallas Howard as Elton’s mother Sheila Farebrother.
Helmed by actor turned director Dexter Fletcher (Eddie The Eagle also starring Egerton) and written by Lee Hall (Billy Elliot), the movie counts Elton as an Executive Producer and his filmmaker husband David Furnish as one of the Producers
