Now we actually thinking of getting out and about again, at last, we have just had a new tip about a place that has become one of THE places to be seen having fun. Just west of Rockaway Park in Queens is Riis Beach which has been a whole variety of things in the past century. Like a children’s hospital and even a naval air station during WW2
Now it’s all about fun, but to make sure you get the best fun the first thing you need to know is that there are two parts to it: there’s the straight side (near where the Q22 and Q35 buses drop you off) and a gay side, which is to the left, in front of the abandoned hospital.

On photographing Riis, Gustavo says, “Ever since America was caught by surprise by the decision of who was gonna lead the country for the next four years, diversity has been threatened.
