Cate says I Love Lucy

Some movie castings are so perfect it’s just a wonder that no-one has thought of them before. Like the announcement made today that Cate Blanchett is to play Lucille Ball in a biopic produced by her two children Lucie Arnaz and Desi Arnaz Jnr.   The script to be written by Aaron Sorkin (West Wing) will evidently focus on Ball’s 20 year marriage to Cuban bandleader Arnaz and their mega TV hit series ‘I Love Lucy’ for which Ball won 4 Emmys.
Two-time Oscar winner Blanchett is no stranger to portraying old Hollywood stars  as her first Academy Award was for playing Katherine Hepburn in the movie ‘The Aviator’.  Will this be a role to perhaps give her a 3rd Oscar?
