Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , ,

There’s not many times when queerguru literally takes (0ne of his many) hats off, but Kristen Becker’s truly wonderful new scheme is something that we are so totally smitten with, we couldn’t stop ourselves.  This out  …. and very loud …… lesbian comedian who has made Provincetown her home for a few years now, has started a project to help some of the disadvantaged LGBT youth from Louisiana where she originally hailed from.  Now the third one has just arrived to spend the summer in Provincetown, which is bound to be real life-affirming experience, Kristen took time to sit down with queerguru to talk all about The Summer of Sass.

The interview was recorded by Roger Walker-Dack for ‘queerguru reports‘ on PTV’s Channel 99.

It’s been a few years since Richard Gere ‘carried’ a movie as the main star, and it is so good to see him back in a role that suits him so well. He plays Norman Oppenheimer a very likable pushy chancer who is always convinced that the biggest break of his life, is always around the corner, and he is almost right .  Several times.

queerguru reviews Norman : The Moderate Rise & Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer, from Sony Pictures Classic, for ‘queerguru reports’ on PTV’s Channel 99.

Evan Wolfson on The Freedom To Marry

Posted on Categories queerguru.tvLabels , , , ,

As part of P Town’s Summer of Love and Marriage, queerguru gets to talk to the leading gay activist Evan Wolfson known to many simply as ‘the marriage guy’. Wolfson  is the founder and president of Freedom to Marry, a group that became a major driving force same-sex marriage in the United States. He is the visionary who started work on this matter of equality almost four decades ago, and now part of the story  of how he successfully led the fight, is documented in a new film The Freedom to Marry by Eddie Rosenstein

On the eve of the documentary’s digital launch on June 6th 2017, Wolfson talked about how the battle for same-sex marriage maybe over in the US, there are still too many countries around the globe where we still need to heed the fight, plus there is also the question of our community joining the struggle to seize our own country back.

The interview via Facebook was filmed by Roger Walker-Dack for “queerguru reports’ on PTV’s Channel 99.
